Egypt: Museums

Despite all of the on-site artifacts and amazing art, we still had to visit a bunch of museums during this trip.  Museum photos aren’t always that interesting, but every now and then I see something that I want to snap.  In this gallery, you will see mummified crocodiles, pages from the Nag Hammadi papers, and some really great art/ artifacts.  They include photos from the Coptic Museum (Cairo), Egyptian Museum, Com Ombo Temple Museum, and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (and some art from a church site).

One this I’m looking forward to doing is return to Egypt when the Grand Egyptian Museum opens.  Right next to the great pyramids, it looks like it is going to be THATA amazing and I’m certainly planning to visit it and take more photos.

This gallery contains the “museum” photos I snapped around Egypt.  Be sure to visit KBevPhoto.com to see the other galleries from Egypt  (under world travel -> Africa).
