Angkor Wat gets top billing when most people think of amazing sites to visit in Cambodia. Meta talked about the experience of his family when he visited for the first time. I was excited to finally have a chance to see it – and it was really massive. There were also a lot of other amazing temples in the area that made the experience of visiting Siem Reap so special.
I took a ton of photos of all the sites and decided on these as my (many) favorites. Sadly, I was unable to get the amazing sunrise over Angkor Wat because it was hazy/ cloudy every morning, but I dragged myself out of bed for a SECOND sunrise trip to give it another shot. On the plus side, I had a lot of space to work on the 2nd day because the herd went inside and I went around back to take more photos outside. I put a post on the Cambodia Reddit sub on how I’d snap the temples if I were going back.
