As I planned the trip in the region, it felt like a “miss” not to stop in Laos while we were there. It’s far from home, so if we didn’t go while nearby, it wasn’t clear we’d ever get back. That raised the question: Who can I interview for the Laos episode?!?!
Luckily, the BBoy network came through for me and introduced me to Tomi. This was a neat conversation because we talked about Laos and some of the special parts of it. However, we also get into some of the history of the breaking scene in Laos, of which Tomizuka was a big part of founding.
Even better? I got a chance to connect with Tomi on the day we arrived in the capital city, Vientiane.
