Things got off to a great start in Ghana because I had Red Red and Plantains for my first meal in Elmina. From there, the eating was ON. I’m a big fan of stews and chili back home, so a country whose national dishes included a lot of bean-based recipes was perfect. Basically, we ate vegan but had a little bit of fish from time to time.
The photos in here are just a few snaps at the spots we ate at restaurants in Cape Coast, Elmina, Kumasi, and Accra. Like Vietnam, I can’t say I would have tried a lot of these spots on my own. However, trusting the guides and trusting Google reviews, we scored a few big wins.
The food in Ghana was outstanding and this was the first time I really got to try a lot of it. I won’t comment on the jollof rice… but we ate it A LOT!
