One of the things we learned AFTER we booked the tickets is that Seoul is nearly at the same latitude as Chicago (home). So going in February meant that we were going to be cold! We still tried to get out in Seoul and explore some of the culture and history.
In the gallery of photos, you’ll see some scenes from museums and a city tour. We also did a day trip to the DMZ and saw North Korea. To me, the history of Korea was fascinating and mostly new to me. The fact that war and conflict have been ever-present was also really interesting to me.
We visited Kerbie’s market and ate some of the sweets on the street. Despite the cold, people were OUT and enjoying the street markets. This was worth my first trip back in a long time.
