Bristol was our home base for a few days outside of London because of its location and a few recommendations. I have to say, it was really nice to see a different part of the country and walk for hours seeing it and eating great food.
The biggest thing in Bristol for many is the number of Banksey murals that are here. Who knew he was born in Bristol? I didn’t. I saw a few near our hotel, but on my last morning, went out to find a few more. I snap a lot of graf (www.GrafNModels.com), and I don’t get the global fame of Banksey. His stuff feels more like it’s what “the art community” decided was great and then the bidding began. To me, the price people pay for his work is the joke. There are much better artists and messages out there.
Anyway, Bristol was a great stop and I hit the Cathedral twice so I could go back and get the right photos. Enjoy the gallery.
