Peru – The Models

While in Cusco, I had some time before we went out for dinner.  Although I started while we were together, the lady went back to the hotel and left me in the Plaza to keep going.  Using a screen grab of a google translate “ask”, I found several people that were willing to pose for some photos.  Clearly, some of them had done this before.  If I’m ever back in Cusco, I’m 100% going to look them up.

One of the things that I always enjoy while traveling is interacting with people.  It’s usually tricky in a country where most people don’t speak English.  Combine that with me being an introvert, and there’s a very real risk that you will just get a bunch of photos of me using my zoom lens to snipe people.  I did some of that, but I admit.  This was fun.  In fact, I did it in La Paz a week later.  I may be onto a new “travel” hobby.

To me, this was a special part of my trip to Peru.  I wish I had started doing it earlier in the trip!  I met some great people – even with the language barrier.

I wasn’t kidding. Here is the screen grab of what I was showing strangers.
