The last time I was in Bangkok, I made it a point to go see some Muay Thai. Eleven years later, I wanted to go see it again. This time, we went to Rajadamnern Stadium for a night of fights. They have fights every night, so we weren’t sure what to expect. The last time, I went to a hole in the wall with guys shouting and betting on every fight. It was quite an experience. With the lady and another CHI couple going because *I* wanted to go, it was cool to be in a much nicer venue.
This was a cool part of the experience for me because it’s literally a martial art that has history in the region. It’s a neat mix of elements, including some fierce elbow and knee striking. I’m glad I was able to get the right seats for the photos I wanted to take. The gallery contains some of my favorites. I highly recommend making a night at this arena part of your stay in Bangkok. It was really great.
